Position Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Offer support to the Program Managers within various segments in the execution of the day-to-day transactions
  • Provide exceptional levels of service when resolving customer issues and implementing product/program changes
  • Proactively resolve problems to avoid re-occurrences providing communication on resolution to all internal team members
  • Assist with Image/Catalogue reviews
  • Work in partnership with other Veritiv departments to guarantee uninterrupted service to the customer by communicating customer requirements, additions and deletions and resolving issues promptly  
  • Communicate with suppliers as required to coordinate cost, availability and program execution on set up of new/replacement items
  • Supporting and assisting Corporate Account Merchandiser with RFQ/RFP or RFI requests, as required
  • Help with sourcing requests for new products for existing business
  • Support Program Managers on non-standardized reports, as required
  • Coordinate sample requests with Corporate Accounts Customer Service for stocking items and directly with suppliers on non stocking items
  • Run/coordinate distribution order application to ensure smooth execution
  • Functions as key contact for Marketing Support Group for assigned accounts when supplier invoice discrepancies occur

    Required Skills:

  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge of customer programs and program requirements
  • Knowledge of internal policies, procedures and systems
  • Knowledge of industry
  • Demonstrated interest in/and commitment to providing signature service
  • Superior interpersonal skills/versatile when interacting with different working styles
  • Effective team player characteristics
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities/effective time management
  • Problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook and Supplier Source
  • Ability to work independently, is a self-starter, takes ownership, is accountable for own work and results, is an innovative thinker

Required Experience/Education:

  • Experience in a sales or customer support role required
  • Post secondary education or equivalent business experience preferred
  • Knowledge of industry an asset
