Position Description

To manage and assist with the development and implementation of strategic EHS, DOT, and FDA  (and their Canadian equivalents) compliance programs to ensure workplace safety and regulatory conformance.  To eliminate significant potential risk to the business by managing strategic processes.  To support the organization’s strategic growth initiatives by guiding processes

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist with the development of and manage with some limited supervision a variety of EHS-related and FDA-related programs and project work
  • Manage and support ongoing U.S. and Canada EHS and FDA (e.g., food safety compliance and medical device distribution compliance) programs and perform related tasks such as:
    • Prepare and submit of a variety of regulatory filings
    • Assist divisions with implementation of food safety programs
    • Conduct research for and respond to internal and external inquiries
    • Provide resources and materials for environmental components and information as necessary
    • Facilitate drug and alcohol testing programs
    • Assist with a variety of support tasks to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Develop metrics reports and prepare dashboards for internal and external customers
  • Prepare training and awareness materials and other resource documents
  • Remain current and familiar with existing and emerging regulations that affect the business processes

Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Science and Engineering or a related EHS or food safety/medical device compliance field is preferred
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in a corporate environment and managing regulatory processes
  • Fluency interpreting complex regulatory requirements and developing resultant operational practices
  • Well-developed skills related to Excel and data analytics and PowerPoint presentations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of proper English grammar and ability to independently create clear written communications
  • Ability to effectively partner independently with other corporate functional teams and regional or division leadership
