Position Description
  • Sell and promote facility solutions products & value-added services to meet or exceed both short term & long term goals in an established territory;
  • Engage in sales calls on customers and prospects at a frequency that places Veritiv in the preferred position;
  • Develop a sufficient number of high potential prospects to guarantee future sales growth;
  • Build Customer relationships by investing in manufacturer visits, internal and external resource engagement, etc.;
  • Plan sales and gross profit activities on a long term basis.  Develop objectives and action plans for our strategically targeted customer segments;
  • Maintain accurate, detailed and comprehensive knowledge of the potential of each account in assigned territory;
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships through goal setting and sales calls;
  • Investigate and resolve all customer claims promptly.  Participate in resolution with all involved parties;
  • Maintain all system information in a timely, accurate and complete manner, including price records, strategic account planning documentation and vendor engagement logs;
  • Demonstrated successful experience in territory sales, or as a key account manager required.
  • Strong understanding or experience in the distribution industry desired;
  • College degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience in project management and demonstrated understanding of distribution finance essential.
  • Ability to work independently, successfully manage accounts, work under pressure, and adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Spend greater than 80% of time calling on customers.
  • May be requested to perform other duties not listed above.


  • 3 to 5 years of successful selling experience, preferably in the distribution area.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Facility Solutions business, and related products
  • Be a sales growth driven person with an entrepreneurial skill set.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
