Position Description

SALES MANAGER – FACILITY SOLUTIONS in Brooklyn Park, MN

 

  • Construct sales and marketing programs which will contribute to achieving the Division and Group ROS and RONA objectives.
  • Hire, develop and maintain a sales force which will consistently meet the objectives of the Company, Group and Division.
  • Responsible for training and developing less experienced sales professionals in order to achieve growth in strategic business segments
  • Direct the activities and training of the sales staff to ensure that market plans and goals are consistent with and complimentary to the departmental sales goals and cost requirements.
  • Works with Regional Manager and General Manager to recommend account assignments and strategic plans to gain new accounts.
  • Determine training needs of individual salespersons and ensure available sales tools are being used.
  • Conduct sales meetings to disseminate pertinent market and product information as well as sales training.
  • Follow company and division guidelines to develop and maintain source relationships with those sources that contribute to the sales and profit generated from existing and new markets.
  • Manage the assets (inventory and receivables) and applicable departmental expenses to achieve the department and division goals.
  • Work with the Credit Manager in order to ensure accounts receivable are kept current.
  • Maintain an awareness of marketplace opportunities and threats to the success of Veritiv
  • Participate in trade and source related activities.
  • Provide leadership to the department so that all members have a common focus.
  • Ideal candidate will have strong customer focus, drive for results, be action oriented and be proficient at developing direct reports
  • Bachelors degree required
  • 10 years of Sales experience in relevant field desired
