Job Summary and Scope:
Supervises the daily work schedules of warehouse employees involved in performing a combination of shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, stacking, picking, packing, palletizing products. Determine space requirements for storage and schedules delivery and distribution of products, parts, and accessories to achieve distribution objectives and meet customer requirements. May prepare and analyze inventory reports to identify stock levels, slow-moving and/or surplus stock. Ensures maintenance of equipment, and a safe and clean environment. Recommends changes in procedures to improve the operating efficiency of the unit.
Supervises and assigns specific responsibilities to warehouse personnel which may include shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks.
Determine space requirements for storage, delivery schedules and distribution in order to ensure that deliveries are completed in a timely manner, achieve distribution objectives and meet customer requirements.
Maintains a safe and secure work environment for all warehouse/delivery employees; monitors work performance to ensure compliance with all federal and corporate safety regulations/policies.
Prepare and analyze inventory reports, reviews effectiveness of operating procedures, makes recommendations for improvements as required.
Interacts with facility Transportation Supervisor / Business Managers / Customer Service to ensure that customer orders are filled and delivered in a timely manner
Performs other related duties as required
Warehouse employees; clerical support where necessary
Skills / Experience / Education Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
Experience: 6+ years of related experience in a similar industry
