Position Description


The Financial Analyst is responsible for any combination of financial and business information and analysis in support of the company's annual planning, forecasting and reporting processes. The Financial Analyst will provide support to the Manager Financial Planning & Analysis and the various Canadian leaders within the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare profitability reports by customer for the sales team
  • Create, prepare and analyze different sales and margin scenarios
  • Work with accounting to ensure the integrity of our financial results at month end close
  • Understand and analyze the performance drivers of our business as compared to prior year budget and forecast
  • Participation in the annual budgeting process and forecast
  • Provide support to the Sales and Operations teams & participate on special projects that are in alignment with company-wide goals
  • Develop a technical understanding of our Activity Based Costing Tool in order to become a company resource for the tool
  • Involved in the maintenance of our Activity Based Costing Tool

Required Skills:

  • Bilinguism (French and English)
  • Proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (mainly Excel and Access)
  • Autonomous and organizational skills
  • Problem-solving skills (analytical and intuitive)
  • Time management skills & capacity to manage priorities and respect important deadlines
  • Must enjoy precise work, requires an affinity for details
  • The incumbent will need to be familiar with company systems, processes, and resources

Required Experience/Education:

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting/finance
  • University degree in Accounting or field related
  • An accounting designation or in progress will be an asset
