The Sourcing Coordinator will support sourcing specialists and sales representatives with coordination of sourcing requests and RFQs, recommend opportunities to preferred suppliers, and influence cost reductions through alignment with the Veritiv sourcing strategy. Responsible for working with other team members to complete sourcing requests and meet customer deadlines. Works directly with Veritiv sales representatives, sourcing specialists and supply partners to prepare documentation for RFQ submittal. Coordinates multi-category sourcing requests using Smartsheet/Excel, Salesforce.com and other tools as required. This position will assist the Field Sourcing Team with validation of “local opportunities” on Corporate/National accounts to ensure contracts are taken into consideration during the local sourcing event. This position will also assist with both MLA and Field Sourcing overflow volume during peak events.
Coordination of sourcing requests to meet customer requirements and timelines.
Monitor stakeholder progress and aggregate responses.
Identify, assess and escalate sourcing events at risk.
Ensure compliance with Veritiv preferred supplier strategies.
Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
Support sales organization by adhering to process management culture.
Low to intermediate project management
Will be expected to complete administrative and clerical duties as required or assigned.
Bachelor's Degree (Preference for Packaging or Business Administration) or equivalent work experience
1+ years work experience in packaging industry or relevant coursework.
Experience in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
