Job Summary and Scope:
Responsible for the branch warehouse functions and supervision to the delivery team. Plan, direct, and monitor shipping, receiving, picking, delivery, and inventory control to ensure a competitive service advantage.
Plans and coordinates work activities of warehouse functions including receiving, picking, packing,
shipping, delivery, security and inventory control.
Actively participates in any of the functions as a hands on member of warehouse team.
Develop a skilled and efficient team. Supervise the hiring, coaching, counseling, training and development of all direct reports. Actively manage corrective action procedures for all direct reports as required, up to an including recommendations for termination.
Develop annual goals and objectives and conduct performance evaluations against defined goals for all direct reports. Ensure that all employees receive prompt, specific developmental feedback.
Implement quality improvement process for all measurements related to increasing efficiency in warehousing and delivery.
Implement company policies and procedures according to company guidelines for assigned areas of responsibility.
Plan, coordinate and make requests for necessary logistics equipment required by the branch.
Ensure monthly OPM and Logistics Scorecard results are conducted, analyzed and reported.
Lead the location’s efforts in the on-going focus on a positive, proactive safety culture.
Perform all duties in a safe manner. Gain knowledge of safety work practices and the safety observation process. Supports safety committee and safety programs, recommends changes to assist in maintaining a safe working environment. Submit monthly safety hours and document safety reporting.
