Based in Norcross, GA with travel to Suwanee, GA 30%, Birmingham, AL 10%.
Strategic planning for the transportation group in staffing, trailer pools, and routing opportunities.
Lead semiannual delivery optimization reviews with a goal for driving continuous improvement in transportation.
Support product transfer activity between Atlanta Hubs and spokes with the goal of improving inventory placement and reducing transfer costs.
Work with multiple Distribution Managers to understand operations and the financial impacts.
Audit operations to ensure customer service standards are being met.
Promote a positive teamwork environment between departments and among employees.
Daily responsibilities include:
DOT annual compliance
Preventative Maintenance scheduling
Driver violation conversations
Ongoing Driver Training
Bachelor’s Degree required.
3+ years of successful supervisory/management experience is desired.
In-depth experience in the transportation industry. Thorough knowledge of fleet equipment and DOT regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) required.
Exceptional follow-up and problem solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively manage changing priorities.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, planning, organizational and negotiation skills.
