Manage Small to Medium Item Requests to Onboard Customers, Suppliers or New Product Lines
Manage Data Quality within the Item Master
Manage item maintenance team of approximately 10 to 15 individuals
PRODUCT INFORMATION, DATA MANAGEMENT & COMPLIANCE
Responsible for Master Item File set up management and extension into legacy systems
Responsible for institutionalization of associated processes for data management to ensure high level of service to Field Operations
Oversee the accuracy and updating of the Master and legacy item files
Responsible for small to medium scale change requests
Provide business input and relationship support for IT efforts and Solution providers
Guide, train and assess team members to ensure required skill sets are attained and then maintained
Provide appropriate metrics to allow understand performance, as well as required staffing
Participate in project work as required
Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:
College degree, required
Strong knowledge of all aspects of distribution and analysis including the current philosophies on data management, systems, tools and data optimization strategies. Working knowledge of other aspects of the distribution business - sales, marketing, finance and administration, as well as the methods which the company utilizes to achieve and measure success.
Must have a high level of integrity, energy and leadership ability. Must have the ability to understand distribution and company economics and be able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers and suppliers
Demonstrated successful people management experience is required.
PC proficient in Windows based software programs (MS Office). Solid familiarity with operational/logistical mid-range and mainframe systems is desired
Ability to motivate team, work independently, manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, people, and diplomacy skills are required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required
10 - 15 direct reports to manage this group
There will be a budget depending on the total FTE’s. Will need more time to understand the structure on both sides before making the headcount decisions.
