To ensure the prompt and accurate processing of paperwork associated with all incoming and outbound stock; verifying packing lists & pick tickets; inputting receipts in SFD; product putaways; resolving discrepancies and printing outbound delivery paperwork; keeping all affected customer service and sales representatives informed on any problems.
Schedule inbound freight
Receive items to be warehoused into SFD
Answer phone calls regarding delivery, scheduling, shipping, and respond or forward to appropriate department
Schedule only outbound freight that requires a delivery request via courier or LTL
Respond to emails for various issues
Sort through POD’s after freight has been shipped, delivered, or picked up. Scan into IXOS when necessary to insure that all orders are billed accurately and in a timely manner.
After picking is complete update order exceptions in SFD and print shipping manifest
Charge freight on customer accounts for Courier and LTL shipments
Process & file receiving paperwork, POD’s, Kitting receipts, 3PL receipts, and freight bills
Make note of Route Adjustments for Transportation Supervisor to review with Routing Center t
Keep a Fuel Log to track fuel used
Assist with inventory counts and audits
Process inbound & outbound paperwork for Kitting Department
Crosstrain with Transportation Supervisor for outbound shipping process
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:
Previous related experience preferred
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential.
Good interpersonal and conflict management skills are essential.
Excellent organizational, time management and customer relations skills are required.
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks are required.
Associate’s Degree or at least 2 years completed toward Bachelor’s Degree.
PC proficient in Windows based software programs. Ability to develop proficiency with company computer system is essential.
SFD and/or AS400 system helpful.
Familiarity with a computerized warehouse system helpful but not required
Regular and punctual attendance.
Help promote safe work environment.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirement: (Describe any unusual working conditions, such as extreme temperatures, heights, hazardous materials, etc. State percentage of time spent traveling each month, if any.)
A portion of the incumbent's job responsibilities will require PC work that involves the continuous use of the fingers, hands, wrists, and sitting for frequent periods of time. The incumbent is required to talk, see and hear. The incumbent must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Warehouse environment: Frequent exposure to noise, damage to clothing, and potential minor accident hazards.
Equipment: Personal computer, telephone, fax, printer, scanner, copier, and material handling equipment.
