Position Description

The supply chain analyst III will perform fact based, data driven analysis, and modeling on significant amounts of data across all supply chain and customer service functions using advanced analytical/statistical and optimization tools. This position will also work with external/internal customers and cross functional teams on various projects to optimize the Supply Chain. The responsibility also includes development of supply chain processes and systems to optimize customer service levels, inventory investment, capital investment, sales and profitability. 

Required Skills:

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, attention to details
  • Strong knowledge of relational database, technical environments, database platforms, related tools, and utilities.  Must be able to properly manage database objects using primary/foreign keys, clustered/non-clustered indices, table normalization, data import/export in SQL, SSIS packages, SSAS OLAP cubes, SQL job agents, FTP calls within ETL.
  • SQL Skills.  Must be able to write complex queries to pull large data set, performing analysis on large data set using SQL functions using PL-SQL or T-SQL, SQL loops, dynamic SQL.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, VBA, reporting tool.  Must be able to take requirements from customer/end-user and produce finished product with minimal supervision.  Advanced knowledge of pivot tables, macros, Excel analytical tools, Microsoft SSRS reports.
  • Strong understanding of web service and windows service methodology.  Must be able to make web service calls from any environment (SQL/VBA/SSIS) to obtain required data.
  • Strong communication skills.  Must be able to present findings and lead discussions in meetings.  Must be able to communicate to both technical and non-technical people effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, manage multiple and conflicting priorities efficiently.
  • Strong leadership skills.  Must be able to lead small to medium projects to completion with minimal supervision.  Must be proactive and constantly looking for ways to improve existing process or to come up with new process to minimize lead time or increase system performance.  Must be able to coach/mentor Supply Chain Analyst and Supply Chain Analyst II and be able to provide some directions and guidance.
  • Strong business knowledge of supply chain functions.  Must understand supply chain processes in details and also be able to look at how they all fit into the big picture.

Required Education

  • Bachelor Degree (Preferred Major: Industrial/Supply Chain Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research) and 5+ years experience in Supply Chain, or
  • Masters Degree (Preferred Major: Industrial/Supply Chain Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research) and 2+ years experience
