As a Buyer/Planner, you will have daily contact with the inside and outside teams as well as suppliers to discuss existing supply strategies and new project requirements. This includes new project sourcing, replenishment buying, inventory maintenance, and margin enhancement to ensure successful supply, shipment, and on-time delivery of all packaging products.
Responsibilities and Requirements
Maintain inventory levels and perform inventory analysis on select product lines using material requirements planning practices.
Calculate correct order quantities according to inventory specifications and usage history placing purchase orders when needed.
Monitor and communicate purchased item delivery schedules.
Handle and reconcile receiving and invoice issues.
Working knowledge of factors affecting product cost and cost savings strategies.
Work with freight carriers to assure on-time delivery.
Complete reports and special projects.
3+ years purchasing experience.
4 year degree or equivalent work experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office a must.
Strong sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment a must.
