Responsible for providing fact and insight based solutions that drive profitable growth for category and company. Developing category based product knowledge to support sales strategies and to drive both product awareness and knowledge. Leading, developing and supporting product management functions of the company using analytical capabilities, project execution and collaboration with both internal and external partners. Continuous product maintenance.
This position will work closely with the sales team to ensure understanding and complete execution of the programs to drive sales. Activities will include marketing and field sourcing interface, collaboration with supply chain and data management, and sales activities; implementing sales strategies, promotions and pricing.
Execute product lifecycle management responsibilities including new products, existing products and discontinued products.
Participate in data collection, segmentation, analysis and report creation of assigned categories to help identify and drive strategic sales opportunities
Develop and provide category specific leadership and direction to the Sourcing Specialists
Tactical process management of new product launches and supplier developed promotional plans
Manage RFP/RFQ's and providing analytical reviews of responses
Working with internal cross-functional teams to oversee the ongoing development, optimization and timely execution of category strategy
Manage regulatory issues and registrations as required by state and federal laws
Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience
3-5 years of previous product management or relevant work experience
