Position Description

We are currently looking for a driven Sales Representative to help us continue to grow our Facility Solutions Business!  The Sales Representative-Facility Solutions will be responsible for:

• Developing a base portfolio of customers by identifying, developing, and securing new customers through cold calls

• Increasing sales volume of current customers by providing professional sales support AND identifying new opportunities/products

• Developing and executing call plans and performing business reviews

  • Maintaining a full sales hopper
  • Conducting monthly erosion analysis
  • Price negotiations
  • Quarterly customer stratification maintenance
  • New product introduction and execution of regional and national programs

• Developing target accounts and growth strategies

• Executing Veritiv directed marketing and operational initiatives

• Supporting selected vendor programs

  • Making calls with vendors
  • Conducting cost negotiation with vendors
  • Supporting marketing initiatives and online ordering

  • Territory Administration


Applicant must be able to scan and email quotes, build quotes, manage credit, inventory, and pricing files, report activities to Sales Management, source products, manage customer databases, conduct daily sales report analysis

  • A competitive nature with an established track record in creating a portfolio of newly developed clients
  • Possess a clear understanding of our services, products and our competitive position in the marketplace
  • Ability to interact effectively with a large number of internal and external customers, showing flexibility in meeting their individual needs
  • A goal orientated self starter, requiring minimal direction on how to develop new accounts
  • Above average verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office/Outlook (or Lotus notes)/experience with SalesForce.com desirable
  • A vehicle and valid driver’s license is required

Required Experience

• A Bachelors degree strongly preferred

  • Previous business to business selling experience within the Facility Supplies industry required
