Position Description

Purpose:

  • Item Specialist will be accountable for the integrity of our data that is driven by item master file
  • This role ensures that new item requests for adds/changes are complete and according to established standards and response times with complete accuracy
  • Role will be segment focused and cover a specific geography within the VOS and MAX NIR

Key Accountabilities:

  • Works with product suppliers as needed to obtain specifications and validate item attributes
  • Loads item attributes consistently according to defined setup standards
  • Provides turnaround of new product requests within established service level agreements
  • Coach or train item requestors as needed to ensure appropriate base data is being collected

Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience: 

  • College degree or equivalent work experience required
  • PC proficient in Windows based software programs (MS Office)
  • Experience in data analysis, problem solving, and product knowledge a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
