Job Summary and Scope:
The SCS BDR will be a driven sales hunter with relationship-building skills and an eye for identifying business opportunities. They will focus on leveraging the resources, assets and technology of a Fortune 500 Distribution Company to deliver creative service solutions that will generate revenue and profitable growth.
Generate new sales opportunities and identify decision makers within large, complex organizations
Engage and build customer base including fostering relationships, making customer calls and closing deals
Participate in face-to-face meetings to present proposals, host business reviews, offer solutions, and close business
Consult with several levels of decision-makers and buying influencer's to understand customers’ business challenges and supply chain goals.
Understand each customer’s business and match their need with Veritiv’s suite of solutions
Coordinate the onboarding process and then transition ownership to the Account Management organization
Effectively utilize Salesforce.com for client prospecting and pipeline management
Collaborate internally with Account Management, Operations, IT, and Project Management to solve customer problems and improve processes
Travel up to 25%

Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required
5 years relevant Sales experience required
3PL Warehousing or 3PL Distribution experience preferred
Self-starter, able to succeed with limited supervision
