Job Summary and Scope:
The warehouse coordinator supports the warehouse, transportation, and inventory, functions at the facility. The position is responsible to ensure the prompt and accurate processing of paperwork associated with product movement and inventory; for verifying packing lists; inputting data into the warehouse and sales management systems; performing activities to ensure the accuracy of distribution center inventory; resolving discrepancies; keeping all affected customer service and sales representatives informed on any problems.
Greet and check in inbound drivers, customers and couriers. Assign doors for unloading, and ensure that they know and comply with all facility safety, loading/unloading, and paperwork procedures.
Professionally answer phone calls and emails; respond or appropriately route inquiries or issues regarding delivery, scheduling, shipping, or any other miscellaneous warehouse, inventory, or transportation issues.
Print all orders for will call, rapids, and common carriers and work with the supervisor to assign the orders to warehouse workers and loaders in accordance to priority and the collective bargaining agreement.
Obtain freight quotes for all orders shipping via common carrier.
Check in freight and process bills for Kitting Department.
Maintain various log’s for will call, receiving, common carriers, couriers, outbound, production, transportation, and inventory.
Print, review, manage, and file paperwork for, POD’s, FedEx reports, freight bills, inventory and driver paperwork, damages, off-site product etc.
Identify and obtain proper documents for inbound shipments, damaged merchandise, customer returns.
Add freight charges to customer accounts in accordance to Company procedures.
Schedule inbound and outbound freight, including freight that requires a delivery request via courier or LTL carrier.
Act as point person for warehouse order processing: process order holds, ship confirm orders that have been processed, print consolidated POD’s, and enter same day refusal RGA’s.
Receive all items into the warehouse and sales management programs. Maintain accurate system and physical inventory balances within the internal Warehouse Management System. Key appropriate inventory adjustments to add, modify, or delete inventory in the Warehouse Management System to ensure ongoing accuracy.
Print sold orders and put a ways; communicate any changes or issues to the warehouse management team, purchasing, and customer service as needed.
Perform daily cycle counts as directed by the inventory supervisor; assist with product identification and location inquires.
Perform new item set up procedures in a timely manner.
Work as back up to other warehouse operation positions.
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential.

Excellent organizational, time management and customer relations skills are required.
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks are required.
Ability to develop proficiency with company computer system is essential. Familiarity with a computerized warehouse system preferred.

Required Experience/Education: (List years of experience, education/ certification (minimum and preferred), prior required experience, etc. Identify specific tools or equipment used to perform the job.)
Associate’s degree or at least 2 years completed toward bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2+ years working in a warehouse/logistics environment. Distribution warehousing preferred.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: (Describe any unusual working conditions, such as extreme temperatures, heights, hazardous materials, etc. State percentage of time spent traveling each month, if any.)
A portion of the incumbent's job responsibilities will require PC work that involves the continuous use of the fingers, hands, wrists, and sitting for frequent periods of time. The incumbent is required to talk, see and hear. The incumbent must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Warehouse environment: Frequent exposure to noise, and physical conditiaons including hot or cold temparatures in a busy, safety sensitive warehouse environment.
Equipment: Personal computer, telephone, fax, printer, scanner, copier, and material handling equipment.
