The Instructional Designer/Trainer, based in Sandy Springs, Georgia, will work within Veritiv’s Sales Effectiveness team to develop effective and engaging web-based and in-person learning experiences for the Veritiv Sales organization. Training objectives will focus on sales process and methodology, selling skills and tools as well as enablement support and guidance to the Veritiv Sales Organization.
Design, develop and deliver effective web-based and in-person learning experiences that support the company’s Sales onboarding and training programs.
Develop and maintain e-learning content that includes live video capture, production, editing, and evaluation.
Maintain clean project files and project documentation.
Deliver training to new and existing field sales team members covering the following pillars: processes, selling skills, and sales enablement tools (CRM, etc.).
Identify and source training materials and supporting content from organizational partners and third-party resources.
Provide overall support and guidance to our Sales organization.
Develop materials that address all learning modalities to ensure maximum delivery effectiveness, including but not limited to: individual or small group instruction, self-study, blended learning, simulation and role play exercises, web-based learning, , virtual classrooms, Quick Reference Guides, reference materials, etc.
Knowledge of SCORM standards.
Demonstrated proficiency of multimedia technology and authoring tools such as Captivate, Articulate Storyline, and Video Scribe.
Working knowledge of audio and video editing skills tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Audition and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Proficient in needs analysis, project management, and course evaluation/knowledge checks.
Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Instructional Design, or a similar discipline preferred.
5 years plus experience designing and developing technical training courses and supporting resource materials.
Experience working with Learning Management Systems.
Excellent writing skills and experience developing attainable, appropriate learning objectives, and pre- and post-assessments.
Ability to build trust and credibility at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work cross-functionally with a wide variety of organizational stakeholders.
Exceptional organization skills with the ability to manage many projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
